Worst interview experience I've ever had. Quick recruiter conversation, then straight to a data science take home (no hiring manager interview first). The DS takehome took me well over 6 hours, but was interesting. I had two days to do it. I sent it back in and have not heard from May Mobility since. No follow up, no feedback, no engagement. Free work for nothing.
I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at May Mobility
Interview
I was first contacted by a recruiter and encouraged to apply. I then heard back from May Mobility 8 months later. I was called by a different recruiter and then scheduled a typical screening call. The recruiter was quite late to the scheduled call. The entire call lasted less than 10 minutes. After less than a 10 minute call, they requested a take-home assignment. I said I would not do that before talking to a hiring manager. They heard that advice and scheduled me for an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager had only been with the company for a month and a half, and they admitted that there is not any developed product yet. Everything is still in the R&D stage but with lots of new data coming in. The hiring manager also got my name wrong. After this quick interview, they requested the take-home assignment. I declined.
