First of all, I understand that interviewing in the new COVID world is a lot different but I think they could have done it differently. They had about 8 people in a big conference room with the camera 30 feet away on a wall or something in the front of the room. I’ll just say I’ve never seen an interview with that many people. You need the entire OR present to do an interview? I not only could barely hear them but the app wasn’t working well for me. I could see two people whispering to each other and clearly laughing about something which was super distracting. It was the most awkward interview I’ve ever had. The way everyone was asking their scripted questions was very impersonal and awkward. I could have just called a phone screen and answered questions on there it would have been about the same. It was awkward silence after I answered anything because everyone was looking down writing on a piece of paper. Towards the end of the interview, I was asked what position I applied for. She didn’t know this because she did not have my resume in front of her... so you are interviewing someone and you have no Idea what for? And they had all 8 leads in the room except for the only lead that would have been critical to my position that I was interviewing for? It was the most absurd interview I have ever been apart of. I found out later from former employees why their questions were mainly behavioral ones. And I can say I dodged a bullet on that place.
