The process took 3 months. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Madrid) in Dec 2011
Interview
First I was appointed for the Problem Solving Test, make sure you practice so you get faster at solving them. I would say that the acceptance threshold isn't too demanding, they want to prove you can work with numbers.
I received a call informing me that I passed the PST and that I move into the next round. They offered me the chance to talk with a junior employee who set up a conference to give us some advices and make a case study example. It was quite basic but it was still useful.
The first round of interviews consisted on two 1:1 interview, first you get asked about 1 personal experience (about 10-15 minutes) and then you move into the Case Study. I found quite surprising that they just asked about one experience (make sure you choose it well) and they don't go extremelly deep on it. The Case Study had medium difficulty because they help to guide you, so you have to pay attention to their signals.
I got a call saying that I passed the first round of interviews and I got offered to have a feedback session with one of the members that interviewed me (both Engagement Managers at McKinsey). Now I'm waiting to be appointed for the last round of interviews.

Question 1
Tell me of a time you set yourself a goal and how did you manage to reach it; and don't tell me good grades because we already know that.
I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi)
Interview
Application/Interview process: Applied online for a Business Analyst role through Glassdoor. Was invited to complete the McKinsey Solve online case assessment (a gamified problem-solving test, roughly 80 minutes). Completed it and received a rejection email about two weeks later, before any live interview stage. I requested them to share my test score and got a reply 2 days after that i scored a 10th decile and 537 points, despite this they didn't consider me for the HR interview round. This made me really confused and they refused to share any further information with me.
The real reason why they rejected me is still unknown.
Supporting leadership and smooth case process. Good and detailed response to my questions and people look very professional. Told me the actual situation of the working hours which is authentic.

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you solved a difficult conversation
2 interviews back-to-back in-person. Cases weren't super hard but you definitely need to prepare a lot beforehand to navigate the curveballs and be able to function under high stress. Expect difficult industries and focus on PEI which is half as important.

Question 1
Tell me about a challenge situation that you faced in detail (expect to be interruped because they will go deep into the story, make it memorable and interesting)
