So, if you're reading this, you're probably somewhat familiar with the process for management consulting interviews. Having interviewed with all of the top five firms - McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Monitor, and Oliver Wyman - I have to say that my McKinsey interview was one of the worst. The first case was a private equity case, and the interviewer was playing "bad cop." Essentially, most things that you learn about being "client friendly" while interviewing and breaking down information for your client so that it's easily followable could have been thrown out of the window for this one. The guy really rushed me along and could have cared less about the process. It was actually just unpleasant. On the other hand, BCG and Bain folk were great in the process. If you have an alternative option, I would not recommend interviewing with McKinsey.

Question 1
Determine the profit margins for this company for each year of the next three years (assuming constant annual growth).
It is a difficult process, it is often not very clear what the exclusion factors are in the case interview. Behaviour interviews are as described on the website. Recommend being very familiar with their style of case interviews

Interview
Application/Interview process: Applied online for a Business Analyst role through Glassdoor. Was invited to complete the McKinsey Solve online case assessment (a gamified problem-solving test, roughly 80 minutes). Completed it and received a rejection email about two weeks later, before any live interview stage. I requested them to share my test score and got a reply 2 days after that i scored a 10th decile and 537 points, despite this they didn't consider me for the HR interview round. This made me really confused and they refused to share any further information with me.
The real reason why they rejected me is still unknown.
Supporting leadership and smooth case process. Good and detailed response to my questions and people look very professional. Told me the actual situation of the working hours which is authentic.
