I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr in Nov 2020
Interview
Very interesting interview process. Started off with a self-scheduled informal talk with a similarly aged recruiter. What I though was an informational interview turned more into an actual interview, albeit only 30 minutes long. A few days later, got the offer to do a super-day. Super-day was very interesting but exhausting. I had 5 interviews.
1 - Intro to the company
2 - Factory tour (ask questions here)
3 - Regular interview
4 - "Lunch" with 2 employees
5 - Regular Interview
Make sure you remember the processes explained in the factory tour for the rest of the interview. It was exhausting not because it was 4 hours long but because half the interviews they leave it up to you to ask questions. I tried to turn this more into conversation but was never able to hit it off with anyone, it was always me leading the conversations. Really nice people with a 21st century recruiting strategy, really appreciated that. Very very regular interview questions.
