I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr in Apr 2010
Interview
I applied twice -- once through their website that was generally soliciting through resumes, and once though my college's career center. I sent these in both within a week of each other (their website before I found out my career center was working with McMaster-Carr as well), so I'm not sure which place they saw my resume.
If they actually cared about hiring me, I'm not sure what they expected to gain from this phone interview. As follows:
1. Explained McMaster-Carr
2. Explained the Management Trainee role, their rotational development program, etc
3. Went through every line of my resume, "I see you were a [JOB TITLE] at [COMPANY]. Can you tell me a little about that?"
4. Asked me at the end, "is there anything else you'd like to tell us about yourself?"
Then, in the mail (really?) a few days later, I got a rejection letter dated the day of my phone interview. What?

Interview
Made it past phone call screening and had a one-on-one chat with a current manager before final round of interviews. Each round was 45 minutes to an hour long and questions were difficult. Have lots of examples ready. Have different answers ready for similar questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr (Chicago, IL)
Interview
The interview process was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. I really appreciated that the discussions were fully behavioral, allowing me to naturally draw on my past experiences. Furthermore, the company truly goes out of its way to treat you like a VIP throughout the entire visit, covering a remarkably nice hotel stay and providing a generous stipend to ensure you are completely comfortable.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr (Chicago, IL)
Interview
One behavioral interview with a recruiter and then a day-long onsite interview at the Elmhurst IL location. Superday has two behavioral interviews, walkarounds and more but feels like you're being observed everyday.
