Very enjoyable & focused interview process: (1) Was contacted by recruiter for an in-person interview on-campus; conversations were fast-paced, probing and productive. Was invited to an in-person day at one of their locations. (2) Thorough tour of facility, deeper interview questions, and the chance to meet some of the other candidates who seemed to be thoughtful, smart and ambitious entry-level grads. (3) Offer came not long after. I really don't get the hate in some of these reviews: Like any company, McMaster-Carr isn't for everyone, and the process seems to be designed to let candidates figure that out for themselves. All in all, this hiring process was intentional and personal, and was a welcome relief from so many other companies.

Made it past phone call screening and had a one-on-one chat with a current manager before final round of interviews. Each round was 45 minutes to an hour long and questions were difficult. Have lots of examples ready. Have different answers ready for similar questions.

The interview process was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. I really appreciated that the discussions were fully behavioral, allowing me to naturally draw on my past experiences. Furthermore, the company truly goes out of its way to treat you like a VIP throughout the entire visit, covering a remarkably nice hotel stay and providing a generous stipend to ensure you are completely comfortable.
