I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Medallion in Apr 2025
Interview
Applied through a recruiter. 1st round was a 1hr debugging interview. 2nd/final round was a 4.5hr virtual onsite consisting of a technical design round, tech presentation (walking through a major technical challenge you've worked through recently), and a 30-minute values interview.
Overall, the process went okay. Most of the engineers I interviewed with seemed disinterested and jaded, but they were still polite.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you disagreed with a coworker.
The process was fairly quick but the interviewers were very bored to be there, even before the interview started. Blatantly yawning several times before I even said my intro. Never have I had this experience. It was obvious they didn’t want to be there. They would also sometimes snickered at what I said. Lack of diversity also. I also often felt like I knew more than the interviewers and they were unwilling to get into a more deeper technical discussion.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Medallion in Jan 2023
Interview
I met with a recruiter who was very nice and provided a lot of valuable info about the company. Then I did a coding interview which was not difficult if you have leetcode experience.
