I got contacted by a recruiter. I scheduled a call (only availability was 2 weeks out). The day I was supposed to be called they never called, I emailed about 15 minutes after I was supposed to be called and they apologized for "missing our meeting" and rescheduled for the following day. When they called, the first thing I was told was that the position was already filled but they wanted to still talk to keep me in their system for relevant opportunities in the future. I was pretty annoyed that my time was wasted, first sitting around waiting for a call that never happened and then when it did, was told that the position was filled already. Next time recruiters, please inform your candidates that you have a call scheduled with that is applying for a specific position if it is filled before a scheduled call. Time is a valuable thing and should be respected.
