I applied for the position and was contacted within just a couple days! The interview process was rather time consuming but I appreciated the effort Medpace put into it. First I had an 30-minute interview with a CRA manager, which went well. This led to a CRA assessment, which is a 60-minute timed exam that tests your skills as a potential CRA. Next I was asked to meet with an HR representative as well as another CRA manager for a two-hour interview. However, prior to these interviews I was asked to prepare a 5-minute presentation on the importance of a CRA. After meeting with both individuals and giving the presentation I was told weeks later that "the needs of the company have changed" and that they were no longer looking for a CRA. So, ultimately, I wasn't turned down for the job. Rather, they decided not to hire anyone for the role. Although I appreciated the thoroughness of the interview process I do feel as if I wasted my time. Three interviews, a timed assessment, and preparing a presentation took several hours of my time. To ultimately be told the job wasn't going to be filled was a slap in the face. I certainly understand the potential of COVID to alter one's plans. However, for the amount of time applicants will spend in the interview process more time should be spent determining whether you plan to hire someone before the position is posted. I'll certainly consider applying again but this did slightly taint my perception of the company.
