The recruiter submitted my resume. I first had an HR interview where I read her my entire resume. Although I was submitted for a manager position with a salary attached, the HR person interviewed me for a tech lead telling me that they probably wouldn't be able to pay me what I wanted. They then scheduled the "tech" interview, mostly director level people with everyone being a higher level than I was interviewing for. After the interview, which I thought went well, they asked me to change my resume to reflect that I had left my current employer. I said I wanted to know that they were interested in hiring me before I changed my resume. They then said that they "decided to go in a different direction" without any more feedback. I am still getting request from different recruiters for me to get interviewed, so I am not sure they went in a different direction.
