      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Medtronic (New Haven, CT) in Sep 2020

      Interview

It was a long but rewarding interview process. I had an employee referral and was able to speak to the hiring manager and recruiter about the role in some detail. The recruiter was really nice and helpful and seemed genuinely interested in finding the right fit for me. I didn't hear back for 2-3 weeks after these conversations took place. Then I was asked to prepare a 60 minute presentation about a past project which was extememly time consuming. They gave me ample time to prepare. I had to present in front of a panel of four including the hiring manager. They all seemed really nice and asked follow up questions about the project. I followed up 2 weeks after the interview and the recruiter called me back within a few hours to say that they went with an internal candidate. Again, this was a pleasant experience and the recruiter asked me to keep in touch with her if I was interested in other openings. Overall, a good experience and seems like a great company to work for!
