I submitted my resume for a position and was contacted the next day by a recruiter. The recruiter didn't know all of the information about the position, and in fact gave me incorrect information.
A couple weeks later I did a phone interview with the hiring manager.
A couple weeks later I did an in person interview with 4 people, including the hiring manager. They use the STAR (situation, task, activity, result) approach to interviewing. They assign each interviewer a section to focus on like "leadership", and they ask you to "explain a time when...", then you need to give the action that you did, and describe the results. If you want to be sure you do well at this, make sure you google the STAR approach ahead of time to understand what they are looking for.
I was offered the position without any signing bonus, without any additional weeks of vacation (3 weeks to start).

Question 1
Security boot, Cellular communication, network, JAVA and C++
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Medtronic (Denver, CO) in Mar 2023
Interview
Screening call with HR, talk with engineers, take home coding test, talk with Director, wait for HR.
The interview process was fine, and I liked the people just fine, but this was for a remote position (1.5 hrs away), and the larger parent company implemented a back to office policy and never allowed HR to extend me an offer.
I felt like I wasted a good bit of time.
Also, the coding test was meant to be 2-4 hours, but could easily be more. I spent 4-6 hours on it to make a good impression. Felt a little burned by this. Would not recommend going the extra mile for a coding test.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Medtronic in Nov 2022
Interview
Submitted resume and had screening call with recruiter. Recruiter followed up a few days after that manager was looking for a different skillset and they would not be proceeding. I felt the screening was very transparent (discussed salary range and benefits - no games). I am glad that they gave me a prompt and honest response.
