      Manufacturing Engineer I Interview

      May 2, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Medtronic in Feb 2022

      Interview

Was initially contacted by HR about interest in still interviewing for the position. The HR contact right out of the gate was very upfront about compensation details and described some of the benefits as well as the pay band for the position. After getting me in touch with scheduling, I had interviews set up within the same week. Went through two separate interviews within a couple of hours of eachother. First interview was with a panel of a bunch of higher ups as well as the manager the position directly reports to. The second interview was with a panel of the team that the position would be working with as well as a few other individuals that work closely with the position. The interviews followed questions using the STAR method. I had asked in my interviews when I should expect to hear back about weather or not I got the position and I was told within the next couple of weeks as they want to get the position filled ASAP. I had sent a thank you email to everyone I interviewed with, and received a follow up as confirmation. After that though I received no communication as to weather or not I got the job by anyone from the team or HR or recruiting. About a month following the interviews I had to check out on their job site to see if the position was still listed.

Give me an example of a time you worked to earn others trust. How have you sought to understand your fellow co-workers/classmates cultural differences? How did this information affect your actions? It was a very dry interview. Interviewers seemed very uninterested and was being forced to interview which made the interview uncomfortable. One interviewer even sighed when it was my turn to ask questions about the role.
