I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Menards in Jun 2014
Interview
I was called to schedule an interview and hired within a 4 day period. It was a very fast process. My interview lasted about 20 minutes and they asked very simple questions. I was told I got the job at the end of the interview and was given a start date.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Menards (Homer Glen, IL) in Aug 2016
Interview
I applied on Wednesday, was called back on Thursday and scheduled an interview for Monday. Interviewed with the HR person first, was taken on a tour around the facility with one of the receiving managers and after the tour I did a brief sit down/interview with the store manager. Only questions they really asked was "Why did you choose Menards?" and to talk about a time you had to deal with a tough customer. Both interviews were pretty laid back and the store manager just wanted to be sure I was up for the physical labor of working in the receiving department. After the interview with the store manager I was offered the position.
