Merkle Deliverability Strategist interview questions

Applied online. Received an email from the HR rep within a day. Scheduled a 30 min phone call for that Friday. Very nice HR rep. Was told they were trying to move quickly on the position. Received an email from her within an hour asking if I was available later that afternoon for a 30 min call with the hiring manager. After having 2 calls in one day, I received an email the following Monday asking when I'd be available that week for a Skype interview with 4 other team members. I followed up on Tuesday that I could make time for the 3 hour call that Friday. Received a confirmation on Wednesday with the schedule. I basically had 2 days to prep for a project review and 4 person interview. Based on the job description and the two previous interviews, I felt that I'd do well. I felt I had the right experience and that the role was something I'd enjoy. The night before the interview, I received an email from the original HR rep letting me know that there was one other candidate interviewing on the 30th. She also introduced me to her colleague as she would be out for several weeks on vacation. I thought my team member interview went well. The conversations flowed smoothly and I felt I demonstrated that I knew the challenges that their team was facing with their client. I felt I had to rush a bit through my project review, but it was outlined fine, so I don't think I lost anyone in the overall presentation of strategy and data. Based on the information that there was only one other candidate interviewing on the 30th, I didn't worry that for the entire following week I didn't hear back. However, at 10:30am EST, on Oct. 30, I received an email from the new HR rep that I was not selected for the position. I was honestly very shocked and pretty disappointed. I also thought it was very odd that I received my rejection the very same day as the second candidate interviewed, but I guess they already knew they wanted someone else. What bothered me most about the process was the rather vague and not all too helpful response I received from the HR rep when I asked for feedback on my group interview. To me it didn't seem to match what I had discussed in my interviews. Also, one of the team members wasn't present for my project review, which I found disappointing. Pretty neutral experience overall. Next time a recruiter tells me they are moving quickly to fill a position, I’ll probably pump the breaks a bit and allow myself more than a week to prepare.
