I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Merkle (London, England) in Aug 2016
Interview
I applied online, and had a phone interview shortly afterwards. This was a pretty relaxed chat where I was asked about my university course, interests/ hobbies and why I wanted to work in PPC. There were a few questions about PPC at this stage, but nothing too hard - just the very basics.
The next stage was a group interview with 8 other people, this involved a mini presentation that I was told about in advance, and a group exercise. Some people were asked to have a quick chat with other staff members at the end of the morning.
Finally, I had to give a presentation to 2 people on a topic related to PPC. I was given about a week to prepare. After the presentation, there were some more PPC questions - some related to my presentation, some unrelated. Finally there was a general discussion about what it would be like to work at the company, what my expectations of the role were etc.
I applied and received an invitation fairly quickly. The interview was about my previous experience with PPC campaign management and I have the chance to ask questions about the company and the client.
