I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA) in Nov 2011
Interview
HR is very helpful and informative. They keep everyone in the loop throughout the process. They present the company very well and are encouraging. If they don't think you're a good fit for a position, they generally will look at other positions that you may fit well and automatically consider you for that.

I applied for 3 roles (allowable limit) on the Meta portal through a referral (received application invitation after the referral input data). A TA team member got in touch about a week later for a 30 minute phone call. It was easy to schedule on the system. During the call, we discussed my background, experience. They didn't move forward as they wanted more experience.
