3. Phone, video conference and onsite interviews with different Facebook teams.
I personally appreciated the interview process, and I found it fantastic! Definitely the best experience I’ve had so far. The administrative recruiting team was transparent, and they genuinely want you to succeed. They provide date ranges for each step of the process, so as a candidate you are not left guessing as to the next step. I found the recruiters and the recruiting coordinators to be very accessible. If you reach the team interviews the recruiters are matching your preferences and skill set with teams, and those are the interviews you will be sent to. Because it’s multiple teams you are interviewing with it is time consuming, especially if there are follow-up conversations with the team. They will accommodate your schedule as much as possible, but be prepared to adjust your schedule accordingly especially if you have other commitments.
The teams are not only screening for your skills, but they are also screening to see if you are a good fit overall for their team. Be enthusiastic. Let your personality show. The questions varied, but each person asked situational questions. I was interviewed by about 15 different people. I would say all but maybe one or two were personable, but even then by the end of the conversation they lightened up. Be ready to adjust to different personalities. Also, don't forget to prepare for questions you will ask each person in return. You will always be asked if you have any questions for them.
I have to reiterate how fabulous and genuine I found the recruiters. They were helpful, positive and sincerely thrilled for you if you receive an offer, and reassuring when you do not.
