Interview
I had technical phone interview where I was forced to turn on my camera even though FB explicitly send an email regarding the first interview not requiring camera. The interviewer forced me to turn on my camera and he was super aggressive and sexist when he found out that I was not from the same country as he was (India). He asked me two simple coding question which I explained to him very clearly, and even though FB doesn't allow us to run the code. I had to validate the code manually for him to understand, but he still didn't understand and kept yelling at me to explain to him. Finally, when he understood the first code, we went on to the 2nd one where I had less than 10 minutes to write the code and explain to him. I finished that as well. I guess he had trouble understanding python, I don't know why he pretended that he doesn't understand. But, I know if I was from the same country as him, or wasn't a girl. He wouldn't have been so tough on me. I told the recruiter who didn't seem to care about how the interviewer treated me. I know FB Engineering only hires VISA holders, and targets one region of the world. But, this is unfair to rest of us who pass the test but get treated like dirt because the interviewer can treat you however they please and get away with it. Please record your interview in case you are in my situation. Please record
