Responded to a direct contact from a Meta recruiter on LinkedIn. The recruiter was amazing, but the overall experience was... weird. I thought I aced the coding/data science talk but still got a "no". When I pressed the recruiter for why, he admitted that the interviewer's judgement was "technical skills are perfect, but the candidate sounds like he might not care about the advertising-based monetization model of Meta"
I guess, the interviewer was right, but getting this kind of an assessment at the technical screen stage is very unusual
