I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Michaels in Aug 2012
Interview
My interview process was pretty laid back, and easy. Basic questions about experience, and clarification of availability. The hiring process was long (we had to watch several slide shows educating us of company history, safety procedures, etc.), but not too difficult. Even though it was long, there was no hands-on training until the very first day of work.

Question 1
Questions pertaining to how you think others judge you or your character. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not a mind-reader. I didn't want to sound arrogant in answering them, but I also didn't want to under-rate myself.
describe a challenging moment in your career and how you reacted to it. I said one time i had a conflict with someone and then we were able to resolve it.
I applied online. I interviewed at Michaels (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2025
Interview
Done over the phone, just a simple phone screening talking with the Store Manager. It was fairly short, only around 15-20 minutes. The manager asked about experience on my resume, as well as my availability.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Michaels (Sequim, WA) in Oct 2025
Interview
Easy. I walked in the store to ask if they had any job openings, and the manager interviewed me on the spot, and offered me a job. I submitted an application afterwards.
