Micro1 Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) interview questions

I applied to what appeared to be a legitimate senior-level CISO role posted on LinkedIn through micro1's platform. The job description was detailed and appealing, with competitive pay and remote eligibility. After uploading my resume, I was immediately directed into a 45-minute AI interview with "Zara" (video/audio recorded responses) followed by a 25-minute written exercise. The questions were thorough and adaptive, which initially felt impressive. However, right after completing everything, the system prompted me to "complete more steps for my profile" (implying further data collection, potentially including ID verification). There was no immediate feedback on the role, no human contact, and no indication that the position was actually being filled -- only that I was now in their "talent pool" for potential future matches. This felt deceptive: the posting created urgency around a high-impact executive role, but the process seemed designed primarily to harvest multi-modal data (video, audio, written responses, resume) for their AI training/recruitment models rather than to recruit for that specific job. I'm in the process of exercising my rights under privacy law to get all this information deleted... and micro1 does not make it easy. The lack of transparency upfront about the data collection intent and low likelihood of real progression made the whole experience feel exploitative. Pros: the AI interviewer is technically sophisticated and asked relevant follow-ups. Cons: misleading job ads, heavy emphasis on data extraction with minimal/no follow-through on advertised roles, privacy concerns from recorded interviews without clear consent on usage. Advice to job seekers: approach with extreme caution if privacy matters to you -- read their privacy policy closely before investing time.
