I was contacted by a Microsoft recruiter sometime in early February of 2007. She said she found my CV on the MS website and wanted an update version of it. So I sent it. After two weeks she scheduled a phone interview. The phone interview consisted of several qestions, technical and non-technical. A sample non-technincal question: "How many ballons would fit into the room you are right now?" ... typical Microsoft questions. They sent me a message that I passed the phone interview and if I agree to have a full day interview in Copenhagen, all expenses paid. Of course I said. I arrived in Copenhagen on a chilli February day, checked in at a hotel close to the MDCC (Microsoft Development Center Copenhagen) campus. At this point I must tell you that this campus IS NOT in Copenhagen, it is somewhat 30km up-North in a quiet suburb. Right now I live in the center of Copenhagen and it takes almost a full hour to reach the campus by public transport (don't even think of getting a car in Denmark ... the tax on it is 180% of it's value...) Anyway, the actual interview went ok, first were the HR people that asked me general questions like where do you see yourself in 5 years and so on ... then followed 4 managers from different teams. Most of them had some sort of technical programming questions and questions related to Test (I applied for an SDE in Test position). Overall, I think the interview went fine ...
