I was approached by someone from a recruiting agency on LinkedIn. I submitted my resume and did a 10 minute phone interview with the recruiter the next week. The interview asked about my background, and there was a technical question. A few weeks later I had a 55 minute technical interview with the hiring manager. The interview was rigorous and involved the details of a microphone being used with a computer. I was given a list of topics to expect, but I wasn't used to the depth the interviewer went into. The only negative was the interviewer interrupting me when I was explaining my thought process and told me to think like an engineer. There was one non-technical question asking if I liked the work I'd be doing. I found out the next week the hiring manager had decided to pass because he thought my interest wasn't aligned with the role. I recommend applying, but be prepared for the technical interview!
