      Sales Associate Interview

      May 23, 2015

      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Milwaukee Bucks (Milwaukee, WI) in Jan 2014

      Interview

My interview process took months and months and months. I first applied for the job in DEC and it wasn't until the following July that I was made an offer. I could tell this was a great sign of things to come from an obvious entirely professional organization. I first had an over the phone interview with the then Manager of Ticket Sales in December. I then had an in-person interview in January with the same Manager. It wasn't until several months later that I had a second phone interview, this time with the VP of Ticket Sales shortly before I was made an offer.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The questions were pretty standard. Nothing too out of the ordinary. I do remeber having to submit the same question twice. One was for the Manger of Ticket Sales(at the time) and the other was for the VP of Ticket Sales several months later. I knew this would be a great sign of how management communicated. I basically had to answer why I would be a great Sales Associate for the Bucks, what I could bring to the table, what made me different and seperated me, blah blah blah. I had to write an essay of sorts about it and I believe there we several different questions I had to answer and/or several different responses I had to give. I kept getting jerked around during the interview process for no good reason whatsoever. I can't imagine for the life of me why everything took as long as it did. I only accepted the position in July becuase I was not working at the time and the location was the next best thing to Chicago, which is where I was living at the time. I have to admit, I was pretty excited to be joining a, "professional" NBA team, espcially one that was so close to home. Little did I know of what was to come..

Short and sweet. I told them about myself, whether I love winning or hate losing more, and what motivates me. I hope to get a second round interview and showcase my skills at the highly touted organization.

      Interview

Very laid back - Geared much more towards personality rather than anything else. Managers were great throughout the process. Interviewed with 4 different managers throughout the whole process so that we could meet the whole team.
