A 1 hour discussion in which the manager explained how amazing the culture of the company is, and how there are no 'real' bosses and how the structure is horizontal. Very little mention of actual work or projects, I had to dig for answers and felt like listening to a sales pitch from a multi-level marketing company. 2nd interview was a technical one - a 2 hour discussion in the middle of the work day, with regards to which they weren't really concerned or accommodating, saying that it's standard practice. The discussion in by itself was ok, we went pretty deep into technical topics and even design an architectural diagram for an AWS service together. The interviewer seemed concerned with my background as a freelancer, and asked me how eager I would be to learn and specialized in technologies that are not very used in the industry. After 2 days I received a very dry reply from HR that while I fit their technical requirements, I'm not a good cultural fit for this role. The whole experience seemed incredibly cult-ish, and probably had the most red flags I ever encountered in an recruitment process with any company thus far. While some time has passed since, I wanted to flag this up in case anyone feels enticed by this employer. Having worked for well over a decade in tech, I can confidently say "RUN!"
