Phone call with recruiter and design manager. Sounded like a decent opportunity - maybe. Until we started talking about money. The typical pay range for Lead UX in Baltimore is 120-150k. The recruiter gave me a terrible speech about how they factor in this factor and that when determining comp and blah blah, it was awful salesy speak and I felt like I needed to cleanse myself afterwards. He said the low range for the position was 80-85k!!! LOL! I made that before even getting into UX.
I told them what I was making as Sr. UX (50% above 80k) and they choked. Promised they would talk it over and would 100% get back to me the next week. It's been two weeks now and not a word. No wonder you have a bad reputation locally.
This is obviously a Vanity title with another crappy agency that wants to take advantage of young people. Stay far away!
