Applied via a recruiter, had a phone interview which went very well according to the recruiter. Attended the f2f and was then told that they wanted someone with more experience in an area that clearly wasn't on my CV and we had discussed this in the phone interview. I don't mind not being a fit for a role, but if it's something as clear as this I feel my time and money shouldn't have been wasted. Six months later they're still looking.
