Very long and drawn out process for a mid level engineering role. I had to follow up a few times to get a response after interview rounds and the company growing pains are evident in the hiring process. I had a phone screen, a hiring manager interview, followed by 6 back to back interviews varying from 30 minute interviews to 50 minute panels. Interviews were informal and all members of the team were involved in the process. It is evident that Moderna is still a young company and is still operating on a startup mindset despite the recent growth. Employees definitely skew to the younger side which I saw as more of a negative in terms of company environment due to lack of experience / leadership.
