Absolutely third class process of recruitment. I was interviewed in January for the first round, which I cleared, but was not selected due to my notice period being 3 months. Then I resigned and after only 45 days were remaining, I let the hiring manager know that, and he arranged two interviews for me from Engineering Director and Product Manager. Now I was told that those are the only two rounds I need to clear, and there won't be any other round. Both interviews happened in quick succession and I had a good feedback from HR, but then they ghosted me. They declined to reply to my calls or messages.! Then once the HR called me and said they are waiting for availability for one Program Director, to which I was surprised that how come there;s another round of interview?! Such was the unprofessionalism from the entire hiring team! Then when it was my last work week, hiring team reached out to me, saying that they are now ready to do a final round with some Program Director, which I obviously declined, since I had by then accepted a position in some organisation. Now, when my application was not entertained just because candidates who are hired with 3 months notice period, they shop with offers, and I couldn't agree more, but when I got interviewed in last 45 days, still they waited for the last week of my notice period to reach out to me! Such is the hypocrisy and callousness, when you don't expect any candidate to shop for offers, then don't reach out to candidates in their last week of NP and expect them to ditch the offer they're holding and join you! To hire right people, yes, you will have to take risks and believe in the candidate when they promise you they will join you, not ghost them. Regards
