      Account Director Interview

      Jan 4, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Mondo (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2016

      Interview

This was the absolute worst interview I have ever been on in my life. The woman who interviewed me was hands down the rudest, most egotistical, intimidating human I've encountered. It's people like this that want to make your lives hell. I was asked personal questions, felt extremely uncomfortable, was belittled, and was completely embarrassed. I almost walked out of the interview after she told me I had to real sales experience and said my major was pretty much BS in college. (General Studies Major with emphasis in Communications, Business, and Pscyhology. And graduated with honors...) Sorry lady, I actually wanted to study as many topics as I could and this worked out well for me. She was so intimidating that I couldn't answer anything that I prepped for and caused my anxiety to go through the roof. I honestly hope no one has to encounter this type of situation in their lives. What an embarrassment of a company... Not sure why ANYONE would actually want to devote their time and life it seems to a company like this and managers like her. STAY AWAY!!!!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Asked personal questions and pried when I didn't feel comfortable disclosing close and personal information. Asked if I thought was qualified for this position. Asked about my history and background in sales.

      Interview

I was spoken to in such a rude manner by one of the sales managers. I have never been treated so curtly before in all my years of interviewing for different roles. I'm not sure if they try to use scare tactics or something over at Mondo, but I have no interest in working for a company with that kind of environment. It seems like they take advantage of young, unexperienced college graduates who are dying to be seen as professionals.

      Interview

Phone screening with internal recruiter, in person interview with 2-3 sales managers (one in the local office, the others from corporate) Unfortunately, the internal recruiter never responded to my feedback from the in person interview. I take it that I didn’t get the job, but a rejection is more professional than no answer, especially since we had been in communication for about a week.
