I applied online. I interviewed at Morningstar (London, England) in Jun 2026
Interview
Disappointing. Had an initial Zoom screening with a member of the Talent Acquisition team. Interview was fairly simple and had some competency questions, but also a bit of a mix in terms of my awareness of things going on more broadly in the industry.
Then second round was where I had an interview with a Portfolio Manager. Unfortunately, this is where the problems were as he clearly had his mind made up and didn't seem to be listening to the answers to the questions. He didn't make notes or anything either, suggesting the outcome was pretty premeditated. Waited weeks after the interview, despite putting a good account for myself, I was rejected and not given any feedback. Only the standard rejection email.
