Following a pair of half-hour phone screens - one with HR and one with the hiring manager - Morningstar set up an interview via Skype. This made sense, as I was an out-of-town candidate. The interview itself seemed to go well enough, but over a month later I've heard nothing back. My hunch is that they would prefer a local candidate, but it would have been nice of them to have had the courtesy to be candid about it up front. As it is, I'm disappointed, but also wondering if it's a good thing that things didn't move forward, as I'm not sure I'd want to work for an organization that treats fellow professionals with such disrespect.
