Had a good couple of interviews with the hiring manager for the role and expressed mutual interest in continuing the discussion. After three weeks of no contact nor replies to inquiries, I assumed I'd been ghosted. But then I received a generic email from the recruiter stating that I was "still under active consideration" but that they also wanted to interview other candidates before making a decision. Yikes. Just say you're not interested and get on with it!
