applied online and got phone screen interview within few days. because of my strong background on certain specialty, I was recommended for another position (the specialty I've been on for a long time) and was invited to face to face interview (which was insane). drived 2 hours to get there and as soon as I sat on the chair, I was told that I did not meet the qualification and try next time. then why invite me and tell me to come all the way there just to tell me that???? after this, I did not apply to any hospital in NY.
Several lengthy steps in the interview process. Opinion: questionable business practices within the network. Why shut down an emergency room? I suggest looking at other health systems positions in the area.

Offered a case presentation of a patient heart failure and asked how I would manage the case.
I was referred by a friend so easy to get interview and easily hired. I was interviewed by nurse manager and a nurse practitioner who I would be working with. The interviewed lasted about 30-45 minutes.

Questions were situational if X happened how would you handle it? How to deal with difficult patients?
Quick and to the point. The team coordinated multiple interviews in a day, and escorted me from one to another. Most interviewers did a lot of talking, and didn’t ask many questions.
