I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Mphasis (Chennai) in Aug 2018
Interview
It was a quite easy interview.
1st round- Aptitude (conducted by AMCAT)
The level of the questions was easy. Almost all the questions are from basic concepts. Remember, Mphasis doesn't recruit people in bulk. So, don't except a small cutoff. For us, they told that the cutoff was 90%. Don't think about these cutoffs, Aptitude was a mandatory thing for every interview. So, prepare well for it.
2nd round- SVAR TEST
It's all about a test of your speaking and listening skills. The way you speak matters a lot. You'll be given a phone number and a sheet contains all the instructions. You have to make a call to the particular given number and speak according to the instructions mentioned in the paper. In this round, You'll have a section where the computer speaks in different accents, you've to listen to it and speak back the same. So, those who listen to English songs can clear this round easily (Not only those but its just an addon for them). Nothing much to worry about it.
3rd round- Techincal HR
There were three panels, two of them were easy as they are asking normal personal questions like tell me about yourself etc...and as I was so lucky I was allocated to the toughest HR. He tried to confuse me so many times but somehow I managed. He gave three programs based on strings concepts( You should not use any builtin functions. Everything you should write from scratch). As I mentioned already, he confused me here and I was able to write only two out of three programs. I thought I would be kicked off but unexpectedly shortlisted to next round.
4th round- Final HR
He was so cool. The only question he asked me was "tell me about yourself and my project". But some of my friends were rejected in this round also. Don't know why??? So, prepare different answers for common questions. You should attract the panel with your answers.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are always committed to enabling Mphasis as a company focused on fostering individual growth.
