I applied for the role and was contacted by an excited recruiter who wanted to interview me. Which turned out to be the only time they were nice throughout this process.
On the day of the scheduled call, the recruiter was late, and didn't acknowledge it. Then began a series of interrogating questions with absolutely no emotion in their voice. Couldn't tell if they were mad, excited, or irritated. It made the call uncomfortable and didn't allow the nature of my experience to shine in a role I was over-qualified for.
It seems many have also had similar interviewer experiences so this seems to be a deeper league-wide issue. I've had a similar experience with other recruiters. One even recruited me, seemed interested, then left me hanging. Found out later he was fired.
Maybe my person was having a bad day, but as the first face of a leading global sports franchise, it's extremely unprofessional to treat candidates like garbage, then ghost them.
