Applied through linkedin and received an email from the recruiter to chat. I was given the impression that it’d be a quick interview process that’d last 3-5 interviews and be wrapped up in 6-8 weeks. Unfortunately, this couldn’t have been further from the truth. The recruiter was slow to respond and schedule interviews, so i had two additional interviews that were scheduled a month apart. After i found out that i wasn’t moving forward after the second interview, i heard no reasoning from the recruiter and was effectively ghosted. Overall, it was a nearly three-month process from the initial recruiter email to when i found out that i wouldn’t be moving forward in the process. However, i do appreciate one of the hiring managers following up personally about my application. They even seemed disappointed that the recruiter never followed up and told me that she’d like to stay in touch cause she believes i’d be a good fit in the future.
