      Senior Project Manager Interview

      Sep 10, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Beaverton, OR
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NIKE (Beaverton, OR)

      Interview

It was weird. After one phone screen with a recruiter I had a lunch meeting with 6 Nike employees that would later be my coworkers. Lunch was brought into a conference room and they interviewed me for about a half hour. In the end, my "senior level" management job would have been much better for me when I was straight out of college. An intern could have easily done it.

      Senior Product Manager Interview

      Aug 25, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Portland, OR
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at NIKE (Portland, OR) in Apr 2025

      Interview

I’ve gone through several Nike interviews for PLM roles. The process is consistent: first, a round with HR (always nice and friendly), then an interview with a hiring manager (usually casual and pleasant, insightful). After that comes the panel stage, which varies—sometimes 4 individual interviews, other times 2x2 panels. The panel interviews are tough and very robotic, one STAR question after another, with interviewers taking notes the entire time. Surprisingly, not once was I asked about actual footwear knowledge or my product expertise. It felt more about behavioral checkboxes than true capabilities. Another challenge is speed and clarity. I applied for a role in December, went through several rounds, and 7 months later, it’s still listed as open. Some roles get canceled mid-process due to restructuring. And in most cases, an internal candidate is ultimately selected. That said, Nike as a brand is inspiring, the people are passionate, and the culture is highly creative. If you land the right role, it’s an incredible place to build a career.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They always ask the same basics: Why this role?” and Why Nike? But I was never asked about actual footwear knowledge or product expertise, which was surprising.
