I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NOV
Interview
Very casual. This was a 2:1 interview with the person I was replacing who had been there for 7 years and the branch manager. I was not offered the job for several weeks, after the other person they hired had failed.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NOV in Jul 2011
Interview
I applied online first, but research led to the company's address, so I went in to personally drop off my resume. Didn't get a call back, so I called and left messages for management. I also chatted with a temp to get a vibe on how the company runs. She told me about another person from an out of town NOV that was there in the office. I called later and spoke with her. It was thanks to her that I got the interview from the manager, even though it took a couple weeks.
I'll find out in a couple of weeks if I have the job, since the manager was leaving for vacation for a week, the very next day. The interview seemed to go pretty well. I was there for an hour and a half.
