The interview process was moronic at best. I applied on LinkedIn and got an interview first with a recruiter from an agency who often time seemed completely disconnected and disinterested. I saw the position online before I ever got connected with this contractor recruiter and the job salary was $56,000 - $83,000 as a range. Recruiter tells me if I am to get an interview with the company that the most I can ask for is $55,000 which is lower than the actual range that’s posted on the website. I am “gifted” the opportunity to interview and you would’ve sworn this was an interview to be the president of the United States. The questions were pointless. The company seemed rigid and inflexible and for this level of rigidness and inflexibility for the money I was “instructed to request” it completely baffling and comical. I complete the interview and reasonably thought it went well, but was told in a very cold and callous way by this recruiter that I would not move forward in the process which was fine because I did not want to work for this company in any capacity however in an effort to always improve and see where I can make advancement and improvements the interview process, I asked the recruiter to reach out to the interviewers to ask them what things I could do better in future interviews. Like what exactly made them not want to move forward, so that I could take that under advisement and make those improvements. I don’t hear anything from the recruiter. He claims he reaches out but I am extremely skeptical that he did. I emailed the two individuals I interviewed with, and I asked the same question. I thank them for their time, and the ability to be able to interview for the position, and if they could let me know exactly what I could improve upon in the interview process, basically what made me a no go for them and they don’t respond which is what I absolutely positively expected because if the company is Bush league we have no reason to believe that those in positions of authority are also not bush league as well. I never do this. I never leave reviews however for this company , this process, and the apparent red flags it just too much for me not to express this in some sort of review warning people of interviewing for this company. They’re also in the dark ages where there’s absolutely no remote work option at all…no hybrid either. I forgot to say this while k was told that when they ask about salary, I should say 55k when I said 55K the interviewer said well, we wouldn’t be able to pay a salary of 55,000 we pay in the lower 50s. When I asked the Recruiter to get more information on it as this was completely contrary to what he had told me, which seemed moronic in the first place to begin with he never followed up to Let me know why there was a discrepancy between what he was saying, and what they were saying. Red flags all over the place. It was a horrible experience.
