The interview process was fairly straightforward. The recruiters reached out to me and set up my initial interview. After the initial interview, they sent me follow-up aptitude tests to submit to the company. Then, they scheduled my second interview with two division managers in the Raleigh area. The second interview lasted two hours with the two separate interviewers, and their questions were primarily related to leadership and situational scenarios. They also discussed potential expansion into the area and other states in the South and South West, asking if I was willing to relocate. Everything seemed to go really well, and they gave no indication that they were not interested in moving forward with the employment process. I even mentioned that I had cut my vacation short to make the interview happen and had traveled for multiple hours to attend. However, two days after the second interview, I received an email from the initial recruiter stating that they were terminating my application and did not want to move forward. I reached out to both the recruiter and the interviewers to thank them for the opportunity and asked if there was anything I could have done to make myself more competitive for the role. Only one person got back to me, and his response was, "You just weren't the right fit." I am grateful to NVR for giving me the opportunity to interview with them, but I can't deny feeling misled after two interviews, including a two-hour second interview.
