I noticed that Natera posted the job for a Billing System Configuration Analyst on LinkedIn several months ago. The job description and requirements perfectly matched my experience, so I saved the job but didn’t apply immediately due to the low offered pay range. They seemed to be seeking a senior-level candidate (with 7-10 years of experience) while offering an entry-level salary (around $50k). Despite reposting the job multiple times and adjusting the salary range, they still couldn't find the right candidate. Recently, they reposted for the fifth time with a very wide salary range of $60k-$100k, presumably to attract more applicants. Initially, I considered applying and negotiating for the lower end of their stated range, which aligned better with my skill set. After submitting my application, I quickly received an assignment test, which I passed with a high score. They then scheduled an interview with the hiring manager, skipping the usual phone screening. During the interview process, I encountered several red flags. Both hiring managers appeared unprepared and unprofessional, arriving 10 minutes late without any apology. Despite this, I performed very well in all interview rounds, and they expressed being highly impressed with my answers and nearly 10 years of experience in the field. Another concern was that they conducted the HR interview last and asked for salary expectations at that point. This should have been addressed upfront to avoid wasting time if they couldn't meet the salary requirements. Additionally, if you do not intend to pay your employee over $60k, please don't list a misleading salary range. My advice for future candidates is to be cautious with this company. They do not value your skills and aim to significantly underpay. The listed salary is misleading, and they intend to offer much less than advertised. Furthermore, after reading reviews about how they deny patient claims while falsely claiming to advocate for patients, I am confident that steering clear of this company was the right decision.
