      I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at National Grid (Doncaster, England) in Jan 2014

      it takes a long time to apply to National Grid and you will need to go through 1st and second interviews with security checking at the very least. National Grid HR are more interested in academic qualifications than experience. If a role requires a certain level of academic learning and you haven't get that you wont get an interview regardless of your experience or other training
