I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at National Grid (Warwick, West Midlands, England) in Sep 2025
Interview
Poorly Organised and Rushed Interview: I applied for the Connections Pricing and Forecasting Lead role. Communication was poor—I had to chase updates multiple times. The interview was competency-based, starting with a question about handling conflict between colleagues, but it felt rushed and disorganised. A laptop was thrust at me for an Excel test with no explanation, and the meeting room setup was last-minute and chaotic. There was no discussion of next steps at the end—they seemed eager to finish quickly. Feedback was minimal and delayed. While the role sounded interesting, the combination of poor communication, abrupt handling of tasks, and lack of organisation made the experience stressful and unprofessional.
