It's definitely a challenging process but it's designed to be that way to recruit the best candidates for the Executive Development Program. During and after the 12 week program, you get placed in Assistant Buyer positions throughout various areas of the company.

Interview
I interviewed for the Assistant Buyer role at Neiman Marcus, and the process was fairly structured but engaging. It started with a phone screening with HR, where they asked about my background, experience in retail or merchandising, and interest in the company. After that, I had a video interview with a hiring manager, which focused more on my analytical skills, vendor negotiation experience, and understanding of luxury fashion trends.

Fine interview, done virtually and in person. Hiring team was pleasant, but ultimately decided it was not a good fit for me moving forward. Definitely a great company to work for.
