      Senior Cloud Support Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Nerdio (Skokie, IL) in Dec 2016

      Interview

I applied online and was contacted by a member of the Nerdio staff. I was interviewed briefly initially and asked to take a Wunderlich test. After this, they advised that they wanted to have me talk to their head of acquisition. I had a second interview with this person, which went well, and I was advised that they wanted to have me move on to a third interview with their Senior VP of Operations. I took a second Wunderlich test as well as a technical evaluation, which I passed with no problems, and then started the next interview. This interview went extremely well, with great chemistry between myself and the interviewer, and I was told multiple times that they would love to have me come on board and they felt I'd be a great asset to their team. I was told they wanted me to have one more interview with an even more senior member. Communication went silent for a few days and I followed up a few times about this last interview. I was then told that despite my great fit for the company and that they had never had their Senior VP of Operations be so impressed with anyone, they had someone internally who was going to take the position I had interviewed for. I then asked if they had any other roles that I might fit into with the company, to which I received no answer. They also re-posted the job opening for which I applied the day after they told me someone internally was going to take it. I don't know if my salary expectations were too high, or they had some internal issues, or what, but I felt like they were not honest in their final communications with me on the position. I would have taken the job with less than my current salary based on reviews and the initial impression alone, but now I feel like they were not honest with me. To date they still have a posting for the job they told me was filled internally. Overall the vibe from the interview process was great until the end, however I have to leave a negative review because I feel like they were not honest with me, which is extremely unprofessional.
