After submitting an application online it took several weeks for them to contact me. When they did it was an immediate phone interview with my now boss. It took over an hour asking more about my education and experience as well as some basic questions that pertained to my job. After that it was an in person interview about a week later. The first hour was a 1 on 1 interview with my boss and he was running me through possible scenarios that I would encounter in my job and how I would fix them. After that it was a meeting with 4 or 5 other maintenance supervisors. They asked me the basic questions, like how I deal with stubborn people, am I a team player. The questions themselves were not bad, the only hard part was trying not to be overwhelmed by having 5 different people throw questions at you in rapid succession. From there I went to the senior engineer for a 1 on 1 talk. She asked more difficult questions like, what was the most expensive mistake I have ever made. How well do I do under pressure, and can I keep my cool if people keep asking the same question of "how long will this take". After that I went to the HR department for my interview with the head of HR. He asked what I thought of the place and "if you got the job, what you ever want to leave?". That was a difficult question because I knew very little of the company. After that final interview and almost 4 hours after the first one they said they had several other candidates and would get back to me as soon as they could, but I shouldn't be surprised if it took several weeks for me to hear back. A little over 2 hours later I got a call with the job offer. I took it and two weeks later I started my first day.
