      Portfolio Customer Success Manager Interview

      May 15, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Atlanta, GA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at New Relic (Atlanta, GA) in Feb 2019

      Interview

My interview process was incredibly lengthy for this position, and I was happy to do it at the time because I really thought it was leading to a role with the company. I had high hopes that this company would be a good one. Instead I didn't get the role, and was sent an automated denial email after spending 2 months and over 5-7 hours of Interview time, and 7 days on a case study project for this company. I started the Interview process with HR the first week in February, and the process went through the first week in April. It started with a 30-60 minute Interview call with the recruiter, next steps were then to speak to 4 other Customer Success Managers over time. Typically a good amount of time was between each call. After that was a Case study project was assigned to me for an in depth presentation. This whole process was 2 parts of a very lengthy presentation, and it took a week's time to complete. All was turned in early and I didn't hear back for another week or so. I followed up through out this entire process with the recruiter multiple times. After that I was moved along to 2 other calls with a Solution Architect and a manager...and what literally felt like basically anyone that they wanted me to have another call with. By the second to last call I was feeling that this process should have been over with by now. I went through somewhere between 10-12 calls and 1 or 2 of those were video calls and completed a lengthy 2 part case study in two months time, I still followed up throughout because I really hoped it would work out. It was all a waste of time, although I wish the company well and still do think they do have some things going for them. Their interview process was a total disorganized mess, I've never gone through such a long Interview process where I felt dragged along and kept in the dark. I wish you well New Relic, and hope you use this feedback to clean up your Interview process.
